Deer-Vehicle collisions occur when one or more deer collide with a human-operated vehicle. These collisions are often very dangerous and can cause death, injury, and severe damage to the vehicles.

From July to June of 2012, there were 115,571 deer hit in the Commonweath of Pennsylvania. That ranks in the top three states in the country, and many experts say thousands more collisions go unreported.

THE PROBLEM:Edit

According to PennDot, 1 in every 75 drivers in Pennsylvania will hit a deer this year. This number is extremely high, as is the amount of deer activity in the area

What To Watch For:Edit

Hunting Season and the winter months are the most active months for deer. Mating causes deer to move around frequently. Also Farmers harvest food around this time, limiting the deers resources.

Deer are most active in the hours around Dusk and Dawn when the visibility is low
